Hi, I'm Bessie! I'm currently studying Nursing at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter. I have always loved working with children and have had the pleasure of tutoring children for the past six years, specifically working with children ages 3-14 in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

 

As the oldest of four siblings, I have learned how to be patient and understand that each child learns in a unique way. I use various methods, both my own and those from THINK&Co. to determine each child's strengths and apply the learning techniques that work best for them, guiding them to become the best students they can be. My strengths, academically, lay in mathematics, sciences, and English language studies, and I use my background, experience, and pure love of educating the next generation as a foundation to my teaching tactics.

 

Being immersed in the medical field, I pride myself on my knowledge of various aspects of helping children. I am CPR and First Aid certified, as well. I look forward to getting to know your child, and making a model and successful student branch out from their individuality. I look forward to meeting you!
